After extensive research into the performance characteristics most appreciated by the majority of kite buyers today, we set out with a no-compromise dedication to develop a kite to embody these features while redefining them and establishing new levels of benchmark performance. A new addition to the Airush Kite family, the Varial sets the new standard in feeling, stability, and performance while enhancing the range, efficiency and lift that riders have come to expect from the new generation kites.

Active Engineering

Adapting principles in airfoil dynamics to current kite technology, we developed ACTive Engineering (Active Conical Tension) and incorporated it into the whole Varial line. This innovative design concept allows the control surfaces of the kite to change their profile in direct response to airflow and kite speed while leaving the power generating surfaces undisturbed and maintaining a clean airflow over the canopy.
This translates into unmatched stability in dynamic situations such as wave riding or light gusty winds offering a very stable and forgiving platform that allows the rider to focus more on their riding and less on their kite.

V3 Bridle System

Underlining the performance of the Varial are the performance safety features incorporated into the V3 bridle system. This feature allows 100% depower and enables the kite to be steered and controllable when the kite is completely depowered.
By utilizing a series of pulleys, the V3 bridle system allows complete 5-line depower on a 4-line bar. By permitting the front line tow points to rotate forward, the kite can pivot off the front lines into a flat, powerless position when the bar is released in an emergency situation.
This is also extremely useful in self-landing situations and allows for the security of controlled self -landings, even in high wind conditions. Used in conjunction with the new SMART bar control system and BRAIN Quick release system, the Varial offers a performance ride with peace of mind.
